CWLOA would like to congratulate two of our very own outstanding officials, who have been recently honored
Patti Klecha-Porter has been recently inducted as an official into the Connecticut Lacrosse Hall of Fame.

This is an incredible honor and we are all very happy and excited for her.
We all know Patti well and the incredible influence that she has had on our sport and the CWLOA organization. We are forever indebted to her for the wealth of knowledge, experience and incredible amount of time and energy she has devoted to women's lacrosse. |
Sue Kennedy was conferred by the WGOSC the National Emeritus Umpire Award at the recent National US Lacrosse Convention in Philadelphia

The National Emeritus Umpire is an individual who has retired her status as a National Umpire and is recognized for her exemplary contributions to women's umpiring. The recipient of this award has served as a role model and has upheld the highest standards of professionalism. Many of Sue colleagues were present as Debbie Martin and Patti Klecha-Porter presented her this award on behalf of US Lacrosse. Sue has been a tremendous influence not only here in CT but across the whole country. She has been a mentor of the game to many of us and we are forever grateful for all that she does and continues to do for women's lacrosse and CWLOA. |

Election Notice.
Per CWLOA bylaws this represents the formal announcement by Election Committee Chairperson, Tina Newman to accept nominations for the following Board of Director positions up for election at the annual pre-season meeting on March 6th, 2012:
Secretary
Current incumbents for these positions, George Longyear, Jr (Secretary) and Debbie Martin (Assignor Chair).
Nominations for these positions must be made in writing within 30 days of this notice, November 7th, 2011, to Tina Newman. Nominations will be accepted from the floor.
Qualifications and responsibilities for these positions are:
Secretary.
The Secretary shall be responsible for maintaining the rolls of those members who are in good standing and currently rated by USL.
The Secretary shall
a. Keep the minutes of the members? and the Board meetings;
b. Be the custodian of the corporate records and of the seal of the Corporation;
c. Perform all the duties incident to the office of Secretary and such other duties as from time to time may be assigned by the Board or the Chair.
Ratings
All officials that are required to be rated in 2012 MUST attend a refresher clinic. Fee is $15.00 and will be included in your invoice for membership dues. The following refresher clinic will be held:

The board chair assigns the following committee/chairs positions each year. All interested officials wishing to be considered for a position, please respond to George Longyear by December 31st, 2011.
